The Year is MARCHing On - and We Keep RIDING!

March has come to an end, and it has left us with a treasure of more beautiful memories with La Valette Malta Bikers. The month began with a big blast during our Carnival weekend, setting the tone for a series of exciting events and unforgettable rides. While the weather had its moments of unpredictability, like today when a ride had to be canceled due to rain predictions, our group’s resilience and passion for Harley-Davidson shone through. Last weekend, we managed to squeeze in some incredible rides despite the challenges, and now, as you prepare your bikes for the much-anticipated Trinacria Weekend, here’s a roundup of the amazing moments we shared throughout March.

International Women's Day Fun

We dedicated a weekend to celebrate International Women’s Day with our Ladies of Harley (LOH) and members. A last-minute barbecue, lively conversations, and a relaxed Saturday afternoon ride made it a memorable affair. Highlights included a surprise birthday celebration for one of our fellow members, complete with Aperol spritz and chocolate, and a vibrant sense of togetherness that defines our HOG family.

Road Safety Awareness Weekend

Road safety took center stage during our dedicated weekend. From engaging lectures led by our Head Road Captain, Sandro Bonnici, to practice drills and scenic group rides, the event was both informative and enjoyable. Highlights included a slowest race competition and a group lunch at Hard Rock Café, where the buzz about upcoming events like Trinacria Weekend added to the excitement.

Mid-Week Ride on St. Joseph’s Day

Taking advantage of the public holiday, over 20 members turned up for a spontaneous mid-week ride. Adjustments to the route led us through Rabat, Mosta, and the picturesque Ghajn Tuffieha Bay. The ride embodied the group’s love for adventure, even as conversations began steering toward future offshore trips to Sicily and Croatia.

Windy Skies but We Ride On

Despite grey skies and unpredictable weather, last week we didn’t let the elements hold us back. Garage Days kicked off the weekend —Omar Farrugia’s all black Street Glide ST being the star of the day. Sunday saw over 20 bikes roar to life, braving the breezy conditions for a scenic ride across Malta, capped off with nice views of the south coast and as usual great conversations between members before and after the rides.

As March wraps up, we look forward to new adventures on the horizon, starting with the highly anticipated Trinacria Weekend. Over 50 members are gearing up for the ride across the sea, ready to create more unforgettable memories with our Sicilian friends.

At La Valette Malta, it’s not just about where we ride; it’s about who we ride with. Rain or shine, the passion and pride of our Harley-Davidson family remain unstoppable as that is our passion, our lifestyle and remains to be our group mission! We do it the HOG way
