Hail to the (Road) King!

In the same week Harley-Davidson dropped Chapter 1 of the 2026 line-up, we at La Valette had one seriously busy weekend.
Now, Chapter One was… well, shocking. Fancy new colours, flashy updates, but no Road King?! How’s that even remotely possible? God grant us the patience to accept what we cannot change… and the courage not to throw a wrench at someone in Milwaukee!
So—what went down this weekend?
Well, with La Valette, it’s never boring.
Saturday was meant to be simple. Meant to be. With WKD closed for a well-earned rest, a bunch of us gathered at Amuri for a snack and a drink. The vibe? Electric. Friends, fun, bikes, bites… what else does a biker need? After a couple of hours of laughter and good chatter, we decided to call it an early one—dark clouds were rolling in fast, and none of us felt like washing the bikes again. So yeah, the day got cut short, but spirits stayed high.

Then came Sunday—completely different story.
A few of our members joined our brothers from Etna Chapter and also our friends from Licata Chapter for the San Martino run at Tenute Senia in Chiaromonte Gulfi. The vineyard provided the right setting for wine tasting paired with local food...another amazing experience with some amazing people.

For us island bound members, for starters we were all braced for rain, but the weather gods decided to bless us instead. Woke up early, checked the skies—clear! Quick breakfast, shower, gear up, and straight to the garage. I swear the bikes were looking back at me, saying, “Pick me today! Take me for a spin!”
Fuel stop, ignition on, and… heaven. Fresh breeze. Open roads. No roadblocks. Man and machine in perfect sync—OMG, what a vibe! I could relive that feeling a thousand times and never get tired of it.
After a solo cruise, we regrouped at our usual Mrieħel spot—because obviously, one more coffee was absolutely necessary.
The talk of the day? Next week’s Charity Ride—our highlight of the year. Everyone’s pumped and ready to roll.
A few laughs, a quick debrief, and off we went: 24 rumbling bikes heading north—Mrieħel > Rabat > Mġarr > Manikata > Mellieħa > Għadira > Ċirkewwa. A smooth, fun 40-minute ride filled with roaring engines and wide grins.
Ċirkewwa, as always, delivered. Easy parking, sea breeze, coffee (or beer), and the usual dose of biker banter.
Enough? Of course not! Some of us headed back south to 1902 in Luxol—because let’s face it, what’s life without food?
All in all, another unforgettable weekend.
Another round of memories made and friendships strengthened.
Another La Valette weekend—where the extraordinary somehow always feels ordinary.
