Sunday Ride with La Valette Malta

The last weekend of April was another great one with thrilling rides on both Saturday and Sunday. The Maltese spring is at its best, offering us perfect weather and the kind of fresh breeze that makes every ride even more enjoyable.

Saturday kicked off with the usual meetup at our WKD clubhouse. The weather was on our side, so we headed out for an afternoon ride, cruising through scenic routes and wrapping up at Bormla Dock 1.

Sunday, as always, was buzzing with energy! By 9:00 AM, the Farsons brewery entrance at Mrieħel was a sight to behold, with Harley motorcycles lined up and gleaming in the morning sun. As always, before the ride, members enjoyed time together. Over coffee and friendly chats. We exchanged laughs and soaked in the good vibes before heading out to attend the static show at Għaxaq Day.

Before the ride began, Silvio Caruana, our leader, gathered everyone to share a quick briefing about the route and a quick update about the exciting "Island to Island" event the following weekend. We’re set to host over 20 riders from Italy and Sicily for a weekend filled with rides, laughter, and—needless to say—great food!

By 9:45 AM, the rumble of our Harleys echoed across the brewery and beyond. We rode together in perfect formation, making our way through Rabat, Buskett Gardens, Qrendi, Il-Maqluba, and the outskirts of Mqabba. The views were fantastic, and the rhythm of riding as one unified group amplified the experience. We eventually arrived at Għaxaq’s main square, where we joined an American-themed static show featuring cars and motorcycles.

Parking our 35 bikes in front of the charming Santa Marija Band Club was a proud moment. The crowd welcomed us warmly—children waved at us, and curious passersby admired our motorcycles up close. It’s always a joy to see how much excitement and interest our rides bring to the community. We found our spots, whether under the shade or inside the club, to relax with chilled drinks and good company. As the day wound down, some of us opted to gather for lunch, continuing the the fun well into the afternoon.

April closed with a bang, leaving us with cherished memories and anticipation for what’s ahead. La Valette Malta stays active year-round, and with May promising more rides and adventures, with more rides together to set us all up for the big adventure in June for the HOG european rally in Croatia!
