No Fatboy!!...Oh boy!

And just like that, the Fatboy Anniversary Weekend arrived! We were all ready to roll—plans made, members pumped, media lined up… the only wild card? The weather.
Yep, prayers have allegedly been heard, so let’s talk about those divine messages for a moment.
Legend has it, back in ancient Mesopotamia (around 3000 BCE), folks started praying to Enlil for rain. Their way of saying “please rain” included clay tablets with “Rain Plz 🙏” written on them—talk about old-school hashtag petitions!
Fast forward centuries, and cultures across the globe—Egyptians, Mayans (not Mayans MC, but the actual ancient civilization), Incas, Indians, Chinese—kept this practice alive. We didn’t lose it; faith persists. Now, instead of inscribing on clay, we rely on Wi-Fi and social media, but hey, same idea: send the message, hope for the best.
And the gods? Well, they answered. Rain it was. A drizzly, soggy week in Malta, with more rain predicted. So, our Fatboy Anniversary run… postponed. Mood? No comment.

How did it all go down? After a week of sporadic downpours of serious intensity, we hoped for a dry weekend. But apparently, the gods had other plans—so we rescheduled for the first weekend of November.
Some of us, however, refused to give up. Saturday morning found a brave few at WKD Garage. Officially not a “Garage Saturday” yet—but we’re champions of patience and persistence. The morning started slow, like a dream. By noon, the first drops started falling. Most of us turned back home to dry off and clean chrome, because nobody wants to buff their bike for hours just to get sprinkled on. A few discovered the joys of quick snacks and chats across the road from WKD, while outside, the rain kept pouring—wet bikes, wet roads, and a lot of mud splattered everywhere.

Then, home again home.
Chris Bezzina now has his work cut out—those bikes won’t clean themselves!
Evening? Still lively. Some had weddings, family gatherings, or date nights. Others surrendered to the sofa, or went pub crawling in some questionable joints.
Despite the rain, Saturday night still rocked.
Sunday? Slow. Wake-up calls, maybe a bit hungover, and with soggy roads and a forecast that refuses to be kindly.
But enough about the weather—pumpkin time is coming! Our Halloween bash is just around the corner, so get those costumes ready.

And a huge shoutout to our LOHs—those amazing folks who give their all for charity. Another big shout out to all our members who attend the LOH organised events in order to raise charity money. Thanks to your effort and enthusiasm, we keep the magic alive and bring joy to kids’ faces year after year. You all rock!
So, lovely people, this week: dust off those costumes. We’re about to unleash some Halloween chaos once again!
