As a group, we always emphasize the importance of road safety, and this Road Safety Awareness Weekend was no exception. Quoting our Ambassador Silvio Caruana, during his short brief, our focus is riding safely together and he reminded us how crucial it is to keep safety as our number one priority —whether you're a seasoned rider or a new member.
Saturday: Gearing Up and Hitting the Road
We kicked things off on Saturday at our usual meeting spot—the WKD showroom. It’s always great to see new faces joining us alongside the familiar ones. Our Head Road Captain, Sandro Bonnici, led an engaging lecture on road safety tips, focusing on riding as one big group. His insights were invaluable, especially for our newer members.

After the session, we couldn’t wait to get out on the road. We set off for a relaxed ride along the eastern coast, heading towards Xemxija Kiosk, where we stopped for a coffee. It was the perfect way to wrap up the day before heading home to prepare for Sunday’s action-packed itinerary.
Sunday: Skills, Rides, and Community

Early Sunday morning, the sound of motorcycle engines revving echoed across the island. It’s always a good sign that the weather is perfect for riding. By 9 a.m., we were all gathered at The Kettles, enjoying a cappuccino and a bite before hitting the road as one.

Sunday wasn’t just about riding; it was about sharpening our skills. Over 34 bikes made their way to Pembroke, where we parked and got ready for some fun practice exercises. With cones set up by our road captains, we worked on figure-eight drills, obstacle stop tests, and even the slowest race. Ludvig’s impressive win in the slowest race—balancing his bike without touching the ground or cutting the engine—was a highlight of the morning.

At the end of the session, we gathered for an informal presentation of certificates. It was great seeing everyone’s hard work recognized, and of course, we captured the moment with plenty of photos. By noon, we were back on the road, riding as a group along the stunning eastern coastline.

Afternoon Group Lunch at the Valletta Waterfront- Hard Rock Cafe’
Our ride led us to the Valletta Waterfront, where we had exclusive parking for a static display of our bikes. It was amazing to see passersby admiring our Harleys and snapping photos of them. Meanwhile, we gathered at Hard Rock Café for a well-deserved meal. The restaurant was reserved just for us, giving us the perfect space to relax and enjoy each other’s company.
During lunch, our Ambassador, Silvio Caruana, shared the exciting program for our upcoming Trinacria Weekend in Sicily. You could feel the buzz of excitement in the room as we all started to look forward to the trip, now less than 20 days away.
To add some extra fun, we held a small raffle to raise funds for the group. Cheers erupted as two lucky members claimed their prizes—it’s always great to end a meal with such lively energy.

As the day wound down, a few of us weren’t quite ready to call it a night. We made one final stop at Luqa Dolce Sicilia for another coffee before heading home and close the weekend.
Spending time with the La Valette HOG family always leaves a postive feeling full of energy and fun!! The shared passion for riding, and the commitment to safety make our group truly special. Now, the hype is officially building for Trinacria Weekend—we’re all counting down the days until we hit the road again, this time across the sea to Sicily.

We are La Valette Malta
Together we ride with pride as one big group!
