July Sunset Ride with La Valette Malta

July is a hot month, and the high temperatures can make riding less fun. But for La Valette Malta, the heat doesn't stop us! Our loyal members still show up and join our rides, especially in the evening when the sun is low and the sky is golden.

Last Saturday, over 40 Harley bikes started to gather at the Farsons Brewery at around 8pm. The bikes were lined up proudly near the entrance, ready to hit the road. At 8:15, our Road Captains Oliver and Kevin did the usual short talk about the route and the final stop for dinner at Vecchia Napoli at Salini Resort.

People walking by stopped to enjoy the view of so many Harleys getting ready to ride. Soon we were off—riding smoothly through Mrieħel Bypass, up to Rabat, then through Mgarr and Ghajn Tuffieha. We cruised along the coast at St. Paul’s Bay, enjoying beautiful views of the sea along the coast road of Bahar Ic Caghaq, before turning toward the restaurant.

When we arrived at Salini, we found plenty of space to park our bikes and sat at a long table outside. The view over Qawra’s Fra Ben area was stunning. Everyone relaxed with cold drinks and good company. Once the food arrived—pizzas, pasta and more—the table went quiet as we all enjoyed the meal. But soon after, the laughs and chats were back, just like you'd expect from a lively group of 40 Mediterranean riders.

After coffee and dessert, the evening came to an end, and one by one, members headed home. We also managed to collect a total of Eur80 that will go to our LoH charity account to help those in need! Even in the summer heat, the ride was amazing, and now we’re all looking forward to our next official event: the July BBQ organized by our Ladies of Harley. It’s one of the highlights of our summer and a night no one wants to miss.
