Ho Ho Ho… Christmas season with La Valette — and let’s be honest, nobody does festive chaos quite like us.

December kicked off with our traditional showdown: humans vs. Christmas tree. We met at WKD on Saturday morning, bravely ready to take on this monumental task. Spirits were high… and for safety reasons, we armed ourselves with mulled wine and mince pies. Purely for morale, of course.

With a dozen supervisors and only two actual workers, the job went surprisingly smoothly. Funny how that happens. The morning cruised by like a dream — garage Saturdays always have their own charm.
Fast-forward to the evening: our Christmas do at The Yard, Marsa. Excellent choice — whoever picked it deserves a medal. Or at least the last mince pie.

We gathered around 8pm and had the pleasure of hosting Carmelo (Etna Chapter Director), his wife Cinzia (Etna Chapter Activities Officer), and Leo (Etna Chapter Treasurer) — who bravely joined the madness.
And madness it was: dancing, singing, laughing, joking… over 30 members having the kind of fun you definitely feel the next morning.
Speaking of which… Sunday morning arrived with the grace of a flat battery. But a dozen legends still made it to Kettles for the ride. Respect.

Direction: South. Main roads. Forty-five minutes of easy cruising: Mrieħel > Floriana > Valletta > Marsa > Fgura > Birgu. We stopped at the Montalto’s at Dock 1 for a drink — love that place, always welcoming.
After a good chat, we headed to Fire & Fork in Marsaxlokk. Smaller table this time, just 10 of us. We said our goodbyes to our Etna friends who had a plane to catch… until we meet again next week.
Yes… next week! 😄
Monday rolled in… but no school feeling here — PUBLIC HOLIDAY, baby! We do love a good feast day.
A small team gathered at Kettles and took off for the aquarium in Qawra. We had a very important rendezvous with Santa Claus himself. He arrived with an escort of about a dozen community police officers… … I mean, he’s important, but come on — was he carrying gold bars?
Naturally, we let Santa take a photo with us. When you’re this cool, people queue up.
A couple of drinks under the winter sun later, we headed to Congreve Restaurant in Żurrieq. Great food, great company, questionable route choices… Frank?
Another weekend done and dusted.
On average, Sunday’s ride looked like this:
- 37% pillion presence (aka the smart ones)
- 75% bald riders (maximum aerodynamics; less hair, more air)
- Santa 0% amused, 100% participative
- 12.5% tourers
- 25% adventure bikes
- 25% Softails
- 25% Dynas
- 12.5% Street Glides
- 100% roaring
- 100% fun
- 0% evidence we behaved
Because living the La Valette life means:
Harleys. Roads. Family.
