All the Ladies in the House.....Say Hi!!!

First full March weekend of the month — and we made sure to make it a good one.

Friday tried to scare us a little. The weather looked like it wanted to spoil the weekend and give us a proper soaking. Instead, we just got a light drizzle. Honestly, it felt more like a quick road-cleaning service before the weekend ride. So thanks for that, Zeus.

Saturday – The Usual (And We Like It That Way)

Saturday means one thing: get the Harley out. Or… whatever bike you can get your hands on for a quick Saturday spin.

The destination is always the same — our clubhouse at WKD — where the real activity starts: hanging around with friends.

Topics? Definitely not the global situation. We leave that to the experts. Our discussions are strictly two-wheel related: rides we’ve done, rides we want to do, and of course the upcoming Salutamu Run in two weeks’ time.

But let’s be honest — by noon or for us by 1pm (when the shutter (?) at WKD goes down) the conversation always changes direction. Suddenly the big question becomes: where do we go for a snack and a chilled drink to close the week properly?

As usual, Some headed to Amuri, while a few of the Harley guys went for a short spin and ended up for coffee at Dolce Sicilia.

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

Sunday arrived and it happened to be International Women's Day. So the day started the right way — messages flying in our chat wishing all our Ladies of Harley a great day.

Soon enough we started gathering at our usual meeting spot. The weather still looked undecided — grey skies, a bit chilly — like it still hadn’t made up its mind. But once again Zeus must have been watching over us, because slowly the sun started to break through and the sky cleared.

After the usual briefing about upcoming events, our road captain Silvio explained the route. Engines fired up… and just like that over 17 Harleys roared to life.

Let’s just say Mrieħel definitely knew we were there.

We rolled out through Santa Venera and Ħamrun, heading straight towards the capital Valletta, with some great views along the way of Manoel Island, Tigné Point, and across the harbour towards the Three Cities.

From there we kept the ride going through Marsa, then on to Żejtun, Żabbar, and finally rolled into Kalkara, stopping right in front of the beautiful church in the village square.

And yes… we made sure everyone noticed we had arrived.

Some faces looked pretty happy to see a group of Harleys roll in. Others… maybe not so happy about the noise. But hey — it only lasted until the engines switched off. Soon enough the calm and peaceful atmosphere of Kalkara square returned.

And that was the perfect moment to celebrate our Ladies of Harley properly — with a drink on the house for all the ladies.

We found the perfect sunny corner at Supernova Bar and settled in. Honestly, once we sat down nobody seemed interested in moving anytime soon.

A drink or two later… conversations everywhere (probably 200 different topics and none of them finished)… and a serious amount of chips with balsamic vinegar later, we slowly started calling it a day and heading our separate ways for the rest of Sunday.

Of course we also missed our friends who were away riding in Sicily with the Etna Chapter on a ride to Caltagirone.

Did we miss them?

Hmm… yes. Of course we did.

Next Up

Next weekend — the 15th — we’ve got the Salutamu Run briefing. Which basically means another great excuse to get the bikes out, meet up, ride, and enjoy the day together.

Because at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about.

Life is beautiful……And let’s be honest…It’s even better on a Harley.
