Look, the Sun!

And finally, the weather gods granted us a dry and sunny winter weekend. FINALLY!

On Saturday some of us gathered at our clubhouse at WKD for the usual Garage Saturday. It’s amazing how we always find the time — and the arguments — about bike improvements, customisations and future travel plans. Very impressive… and slightly suspicious 😄

Sunday was the day. Getting to Kettles in the morning was a bit of an ordeal. Thanks to the Malta Marathon, a lot of roads were closed to traffic… but we couldn’t let a marathon stop a bunch of Harleys, could we?

Coffee, hugs and laughter. A slow start and a relaxed atmosphere — just the way we like it.

At 10am we had a short briefing by Silvio and Frank, followed by the usual photo session 🙂

A small team stayed at Kettles to join the Etna Chapter meeting online. The rest of us? We hit the road.

Route for the day:

Attard > Rabat > Buskett > Dingli > Siġġiewi > Qrendi > Ġnien il-Gibjun in Żurrieq.

It was a great ride — a solid number of bikes and the perfect amount of noise 🙂

Once in Żurrieq we stopped for more photos… because memories are important, or so we’re told. And also because Harleys look better when parked in a row.

After the vanity came the sanity, so off we went to the bar to grab a beer and some nibbles. Good vibes all around.

Some had to call it a day, but a good group stayed on for lunch — stretching the day as much as possible and absolutely no regrets.

The Salutamu ride was already on the table. Plans, plans, plans…

Friendship and fun — the real reasons we ride.
