In the days leading up to Friday, April 4th, excitement among La Valette Malta members reached fever pitch. The WKD Showroom and clubhouse buzzed with activity as riders serviced their bikes, collected official La Valette T-shirts, and caught up with friends. Rumors of over 400 bikes and 600 attendees added to the anticipation, making the event feel monumental. By the eve of departure, the atmosphere shifted as members meticulously prepared, cleaned their bikes, packed their gear, and opted for an early night to meet the ferry at dawn.

Day 1 began early. By 4:00 AM, the group chat was alive with notifications, signaling that riders were awake and ready. By 5:00 AM, Marsa Harbour was already bustling with over 30 bikes and 50 energized riders, excited for the weekend ahead. After check-in, the catamaran was filled with Harley enthusiasts—some grabbing a nap, others chatting over coffee. At 7:30 AM, the ferry set sail, promising sunny weather upon arrival in Pozzallo Harbor. Members donned La Valette T-shirts and bandanas, eagerly anticipating the journey ahead.

Upon arrival, the real adventure began. After a quick briefing, the group rode out toward the Harley-Davidson showroom in Acireale. The ride was smooth, with a stop at an Autogrill for lunch and coffee. The first hiccup occurred after the toll station, where one bike refused to start. With teamwork and a booster charge, the bike roared back to life, and the group continued on.

The Acireale dealership greeted the group with rock music, warm smiles, and refreshments like tavola calda and free beer. Members explored the showroom, admired new bikes—including a black Fatboy 30th Anniversary— and indulged in Harley gear shopping. At 2:30 PM, the Trinacria Rally officially began with directors from Sicilian chapters, including our manager, opening the event.

By 3:00 PM, the thunderous rumble of Harley engines filled the air once more. The riders embarked on a scenic two-hour journey to Athena Resort in Ragusa, with groups splitting up to navigate the traffic. Despite another breakdown requiring towing and fatigue from the long ride, the group arrived at the hotel—a Harley-exclusive venue decorated with flags and featuring a stage for evening activities.

After checking in and settling into rooms, members gathered in the grand hall for a buffet dinner alongside over 600 Harley enthusiasts from all over Italy. The passion for freedom and camaraderie was palpable, with rock music setting the mood. The evening continued outside, where a female rock band delivered high-energy performances, inviting the crowd to sing along and revel in the shared spirit of Harley culture.

Though riders were weary, the night carried on with laughter, music, and the unbreakable bond of community. By 2:00 AM, most called it a night, ready for the next day of rides, scenery, food, and fun.
