Thank God for the Breeze!

And yes… we got lucky! After a week of suffocating heat, this evening we were graced with a refreshing north-westerly breeze. For us bikers, it was a blessing — although the boating crowd might beg to differ.

Tonight marked the kickoff of our LOH (Ladies of Harley) season of events: a BBQ at the Marriott Hotel in Balluta. As always, the spirit was simple — have fun and raise some funds for charity.

We had quite the crowd! Around 50 of us gathered near the bar area for some well-earned, thirst-quenching first rounds. When we’re together, it’s always something special.

Eventually, we made our way to our tables and tucked into an amazing array of dishes from the buffet. The food and service were spot on — just like last year. Thumbs up, Marriott!

And of course, what’s a Harley event without a raffle? The prizes were top-notch: from free stays at Casa Lucia, to bike detailing, photography services, meals, and more. A big shoutout to everyone who contributed prizes and supported the cause.

Now, we did have a few extra-lucky winners who somehow managed to scoop up multiple prizes. This prompted our quick-thinking Events Officer to introduce a new rule on the spot: “one prize per person!” Gotta keep it fair!

The evening flowed perfectly — lots of laughs, great company, and full stomachs. And yes, we had to get that classic group photo. It took some herding, but who cares? We got the shot!

As the event wrapped up and folks headed toward their cars, a few brave souls decided the night was still young. Next stop: City of London pub for a few more rounds and some final cheers.
