Summer is here, and with it comes the familiar heat of the Maltese islands. For the next few months, we’ll be feeling its intensity, but that won't stop us from doing what we love—riding together and making the most of the season.

This past week was a special one for La Valette Malta, with several members heading to Croatia for the Harley Owners Group (HOG) Rally in Medulin. Through shared updates and stories on Chillout Chat and social media, they’ve kept us connected to the excitement, proving once again that Harley-Davidson isn’t just about the bikes—it’s about the brotherhood. We’ll hear more about their adventures when they return, sharing tales of the open road and unforgettable rides.

Back in Malta, the group kept rolling. Saturday morning at WKD showroom was a quieter gathering, but still a great chance to catch up over coffee or beer. As midday approached, riders headed home to escape the heat and rest up for the first sunset ride of the season.

The ride kicked off at The Kettles, Mriehel, where members began gathering at 19:30. Despite many of our usual riders being away, we had a solid turnout, including familiar faces returning to ride with us once again. The evening breeze was refreshing, so we lingered, taking it easy before finally saddling up.

At 20:15, road captains Oliver C and Silvio C called the group to start the ride. We cruised through Sta Venera tunnels, St Julian’s, Coast Road, and St Paul’s Bay bypass, heading straight to Għajn Tuffieħa before finishing at Mġarr Square, just behind the church. The route was smooth and relaxed—no major stops, just the beauty of the sun setting over the sea, painting the sky with golds and deep blues.

With reserved parking at United Restaurant, we settled in for a night of good food, cold drinks, and great company. The elevated floor was exclusively ours, making it the perfect spot to unwind. The Maltese cuisine was a highlight, with rabbit stew being a favorite. As conversations flowed and laughter filled the air, the night slowly wound down. By midnight, bikes were safely tucked away, ready for another adventure.

Next week, we meet again for our official June event—another sunset ride and dinner at Mananni Restaurant, where we’ll welcome summer properly. Our riders returning from Medulin will share their experiences, adding to the energy of the evening.

The heat may be fierce, but nothing stops La Valette Malta from riding. Shorter routes, bbqs, chillout nights—summer 2025 is going to be another unforgettable season. We ride on, always.
