Side Stand Down on Another Great Year

Last ride of 2025—and it had to be a special one. The gods clearly agreed, blessing us with one of those picture-perfect Maltese winter days. Hats off, Malta… how can anyone not love you?

As tradition demands, we met at our usual spot in Mrieħel, Kettles (always a pleasure). Cloudless skies, a healthy number of bikes, and spirits riding high.
It felt like we hadn’t seen each other in ages. Chit-chat, coffees, hugs, and plenty of laughter all around. After a short briefing, we fired up and headed towards Armier. To keep things clean and mud-free, our road captains wisely stuck to the main roads:
Mrieħel > Regional Road > St Andrew’s > Coast Road > Xemxija > Mellieħa > Għadira > Armier.
A steady 30 km ride. Smooth, easy, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Armier was pure petrol-head heaven—packed with cars, bikes, and fellow enthusiasts. Let’s just say no one was expecting to bump into Greta Thunberg there!
A couple of drinks followed, along with chats about 2026 plans, new bike dreams, and everything in between… and just like that, the morning flew by.
Hugs, handshakes, and the usual goodbyes, as everyone went their separate ways. Some stayed on for lunch, others had to head back home.
An amazing Sunday.
An amazing crowd.
Amazing bikes.
Closing off an amazing year—
With an amazing number of kilometres ridden
And even more memories made.
