It’s August. Shutdown season.

Time for trips to Gozo, airport runs, family BBQs... and somehow, La Valette is still revving at full throttle.
We met up at Kettles for our usual Saturday ride. Spirits were high, sun was out, and we had a solid turnout — nearly 20 bikes lined up and ready to roll. Special mention goes to Neville Formosa, back with us after a few years off the radar. Welcome back, man! Plenty of catching up (and first-round drinks) were in order.

Oliver gave us the rundown, and before long we hit the road. The route: Mriehel Bypass > Regional Road > St. Andrew’s > Coast Road > Kennedy Grove > Xemxija > Mellieħa > Żebbieħ... all the way to our final stop at Apple’s Eye, Għajn Tuffieħa. A 30km ride — mostly main roads, sprinkled with just enough traffic lights and bottlenecks to keep things interesting. Malta, we love you anyway.

Apple’s Eye delivered. Parking was a breeze, food hit the spot, drinks were frosty, and the seaside breeze was doing its thing. Exactly what we needed.

Time flew — too fast, as always. So we extended the evening with a bonus stop for ice cream in Xemxija. Priorities.
Plenty more chats, weekend plans thrown around, and some hype building for our upcoming Day by the Pool on August 23rd, proudly organised by our LOH crew.
Another great evening wrapped up with good laughs, cold drinks, and a ride home under the stars.
Already looking forward to the next one.
