Drizzle, Clouds & Chrome: A Typical La Valette Friday

Drizzle? ✅
100% cloud cover? ✅
Sticky weather that makes you question your life choices in full leathers? ✅

Perfect riding weather, right?
Yet, a dozen of the La Valette die-hards still showed up at Kettles—because when you're part of this group, the only thing more predictable than Maltese weather is our refusal to cancel a ride. Rain or shine (or mild swamp), we ride.
There was a lively debate over whether those ominous clouds were bluffing or serious. The probability of rain was sky-high, but so was our commitment (or stubbornness, depending who you ask). So, we stuck to the plan and hit the road.
The route?
Rabat → Mtarfa → Bahrija → Mgarr → Ghajn Tuffieha → Manikata → Mellieha → and finally, our trusty chill-out spot in Armier.

Leading the pack was Felix Buttigieg, cool and collected as always. Frank Camilleri held the rear as sweeper (making sure we didn’t lose anyone or any parts), and Michael Camenzuli played the role of runner, probably logging more miles than the rest of us combined.
The ride was smooth. We hit Armier, and we treated ourselves to a “light” dinner. We chatted about upcoming rides and travel —most notably the Calabrone Run in a couple of weeks, which promises more scenic views and probably more snacks.
But the day wasn’t over just yet. Because what’s a La Valette ride without ice cream? We rolled into Xemxija for dessert... and possibly diabetes. Calories? Sure. Regrets? None.

All in all, another classic evening:
We ride.
We laugh.
We make memories (and occasionally questionable food choices).
This is La Valette Malta—where the throttle never rests, and neither do we.
