Calabrone Run - A run it has been indeed!

After weeks of anticipation, the time finally came... The Calabrone Run was ON!
As usual, the La Valette crew did not disappoint. About 30 bikes and 40 members showed up for the adventure. Not bad at all. We’ve seen worse on a Sunday hangover ride.

We didn’t all ride up together – some of us decided to extend the party and get a head start on the holiday (smart move). But the main pack of 20 bikes assembled at Pozzallo at 9:15 AM, ready to roar towards Marina di Sibari, Calabria – a good 560 km stretch of road ahead. True to form, we rode like we mean it. Structured ride, great arcs, steady and true to our colours. Like only La Valette knows how.

When we arrived, the resort was buzzing – nearly 700 bikers and an estimated 450–500 Harley-Davidsons. Yep. Harley heaven. Exactly how we like it. The HOG way, when it's all about the love for the bikes, the brotherhood and the road ahead!
We kicked off with a buffet dinner (because, priorities), and then headed to the amphitheatre for the 90s party. And what a party it was! Great people, throwback hits, and enough booze to make your liver file a complaint. Let’s just say, Friday night delivered.

Saturday morning? A bit of a struggle for some... 😅
But hey, we pushed through. There was riding to be done!
The morning ride took us to Morano Calabro, a stunning medieval town perched on a hill. That 50 km uphill cruise through the Apennines? Absolutely epic. Italy really is showing off at this point.
Back at the resort by 1:30 PM for more buffet magic, and then it was time to chill. Some hit the pool. Others hit the nap button – all in prep for Saturday night's main event.

A few pre-drinks by the pool (tradition), then we rolled into the themed Gala Dinner. Cowboy hats,
boots, the works. It looked like a spaghetti western met a Harley convention – and we were loving every second of it.

Food? Solid.
Music? On point.
Vibe? 🔥
And then came the afterparty… and it was all systems go.
Music, drinks, laughter, and all our crazy biker family under one roof.
Unforgettable.
Sunday rolled around a little too fast – ride home day. But no worries…
Because we’re bikers.
Because we’re La Valette.
Because. We. Ride.
We hit the road for a 536 km ride back to Pozzallo. Meanwhile, some of our homebound brothers who couldn’t join us met up at Serkin for pastizzi and went for a ride too – just to keep the La Valette wheels spinning.

On the way back, we were joined by our awesome brothers from the Etna Chapter. Great bunch! They even invited us for lunch in the Messina region – think homemade pasta and black boar grill. Pure bliss. Every occasion in which we meet with our brothers, is an event to remember. They bring the concept of brotherhood to another level.

After that, we rode south toward Pozzallo, with our Etna brothers escorting us beyond Catania. Respect.
An epic weekend.
With epic people.
In an epic country.
Calabria – this was our first dance. It won’t be the last.
Sicily – always feels like home.
Malta – we're back, baby... and we’re just getting started.
We are La Valette.
We are Bikers.
We are Brothers.
We Ride.
