And it was Saturday’s turn, and we headed north!Well… not exactly due north — we rode to the northernmost part of the island!

The meet-up at Kettles was pleasant as always. This time, we were joined by Dennis and Michelle, who came along with their new Dyna Switchback. A very pleasant couple — we hope they enjoyed the evening and that they decide to join La Valette!

As is typical in summer, the ride was straightforward. We stuck to the main roads and made our way directly to our destination. With 20 bikes in total, we maintained our usual formation: Oliver led the way, Kevin assisted, and Silvio acted as the sweeper.
Our route took us from Kettles through the Mrieħel Bypass, onto Regional Road, St. Andrew’s, the Coast Road, Xemxija, Mellieħa, Għadira, and finally to Ċirkewwa. The highlight of the 30km ride? Hitting four red traffic lights in a row — and only one sleeping policeman along the way. Not bad!

Our final stop was Paradise Bay, where we had reserved parking for the bikes. From there, we walked over to Porto Lounge for dinner. The setting was beautiful — a seaside lounge that struck the perfect balance between romance (think candlelight vibe… minus the candles) and lively fun (thanks to a bouncy castle at the other end).

Our plans were clear: eat, drink, and party all night on the bouncy castle.
Unfortunately, our dream was short-lived… before we even finished dinner, someone had the bright idea to deflate the castle. What a shame!

Still, the evening flowed beautifully. Good company always makes for a good time. After dinner, we rode back home together, cruising by the sea and enjoying the cool night breeze.

An amazing evening. Thanks to everyone who came — already looking forward to the next one! 😊
