So, this past weekend was the Air Show… and in good old Maltese tradition, the weather decided to show off its other talents. Rain, wind, gloom – you name it, we had it. Honestly, it sucked big time.
Friday’s forecast already looked like something out of a bad Netflix disaster movie, so we had no choice but to postpone our weekly ride to Sunday evening. Personally, I felt like my weekend had started on the wrong gear.
Saturday wasn’t any better – in fact, it was worse. But, true to form, our LOH (Ladies of Harley) never let the Group down. They turned up at the Hard Rock Café at Valletta Waterfront, all fired up and ready to prep for the upcoming Reggio Emilia Ladies National Run on the 4th of October. Eleven ladies showed up, and that’s no small thing considering the weather was fit only for ducks. Hats off, ladies – you always bring the spirit, rain or shine. Stay safe and good luck on your run!

By Sunday, the skies finally decided to behave. Many of us squeezed in some much-needed throttle therapy during the day, and by evening, the hardcore crew of La Valette gathered at our usual Mrieħel spot. Small group, big fun.

And then came the highlight – Phyllis rolled in with her new blacked-out Fat Boy. 110 cubic inches of pure muscle. Gorgeous bike, gorgeous sound, and let’s be honest – a pretty gorgeous rider too. Congrats, Phyllis! Here’s to endless miles and plenty of bugs on that front fender.
Once the “wow” factor wore off (sort of), we saddled up and headed to Apple’s Eye – a solid favourite. Good snacks, plenty of laughs, and that perfect mix of road-time and chill-time.

Eventually, we all pointed our bikes home, facing that dreaded thought: tomorrow is Monday. Back to work, back to school, back to reality. God help us all.
Until the next ride, keep it rubber-side down!
